EPYRU Study Tour can open new doors

  An intensive Study Tour arranged by EPYRU during March 23-29 has raised the prospects for new ideas, initiatives and contacts in youth policy for the Eastern Partnership countries.

EU and UNICEF discuss youth and childrens' rights in Eastern Partnership

Children’s and adolescents' access to justice, child care reforms, social protection and education are some of the issues that will be explored this week when representatives from the EU and UNICEF come together in Brussels to discuss the realization of child rights in the Eastern Partnership  countries.

Tempus PICASA Project kicks off in Yerevan.

The kick-off meeting of the Tempus PICASA Project will be held on 22-23 January, 2014 at Yerevan State University (YSU). The PICASA project aims to promote recognition of Eastern Neighboring Area Higher Education systems in Armenia, Georgia, Belarus and Ukraine,  through development and integration of internationalization dimensions into structural and cultural components of Higher Education insitutional management.

EU Association Agreements with Georgia, Moldova, feature accent on youth

 EU Association Agreements initialled by Georgia and Moldova at the Vilnius Summit in November feature specific articles on education and youth. These include promotion of life-long learning, reinforcing understanding and knowledge on the European integration process, reinforcing cooperation and exchanges in the field of youth policy, supporting young people and youth workers' mobility and promoting cooperation between youth organisations. Yerevan Symposium on Youth has Begun

In the framework of the Armenian Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe,  a Symposium is being held on 13-14 November 2013, in Yerevan. The aim of the symposium is to better understand, demonstrate / exemplify and promote the role of youth work in education for democratic citizenship and participation.  (more...)

2015 to be Youth Year in Republic of Belarus?

  President Alexander Lukashenko of the Republic of Belarus has proposed that 2015 be  a 'Year of Youth'. The declaration was made while he was attending a forum "Traditions. Youth. Future" in Minsk, organised by the  Belarusian Republican Youth Movement.

UN Secretary General's Envoy on Youth to visit Azerbaijan

The UN Secretary General's Envoy on Youth, Ahmad Alhendawi, will visit Azerbaijan in October for the launch of  the international simulation game "Model United Nations Security Council".
